Have you ever thought about wearing what you donate? Good Shirts, a response to the extreme humanitarian crisis in the Horn of Africa, will let you do just that.
Born out of a partnership between Threadless, BBH New York and the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, Good Shirts is a fundraising project that aims to provide the region with much needed amenities.
Here comes the original part: Good Shirts is a collection of graphic t-shirts, each of which costs the exact amount as the urgently needed aid item depicted on the shirt. Purchasing the lowest priced tee, which goes for $18.57, will provide three mosquito nets for the deadly mosquito-borne malaria raging in the region. A hefty donation of $300,000 will be used to charter a cargo plane to transport vital supplies. Besides scoring a cool t-shirt, 100% of your donation goes straight to the cause. What’s not to like about that? [Source: Good Shirts]
