Even urban dwellers, who don’t have their own backyard, can grow their own crops. Truck Farm proves that.
Truck Farm was founded by New York-based filmmaker Ian Cheney, with pretty simple measures: he grabbed his old truck, filled it with soil and planted some seeds. Soon he had a publicly-displayed, lush garden.
The 1986 Dodge has since been joined by sibling trucks in other spots around the United States, and together they promote their mission: "Teaching people young and old that growing food can be fun, easy, and rewarding — even if you don’t have a lot of land." [Source: Truck Farm]
