Artwork That Appears Only When It Rains [VIDEO] | One artist is brightening up rainy Seattle days with street art called rainworks.

Seattle is known for its rainy weather, and artist Peregrine Church is taking advantage of the drizzles to make some uplifting street art. After a rainfall, visitors to the Pacific Northwest city might just happen upon a fun hopscotch or an inspirational quote etched on the sidewalk.
Since May 2014, the artist has been using an all natural biodegradable superhydrophobic spray coating to stencil his rainworks, which repels water after setting for 24 hours. There are around 30 of Church’s rainwork pieces throughout the city of Seattle, resulting in upbeat surprises that can only be seen on a rainy day.
