Gender and entrepreneurship, start up success stories, business and marketing inspiration - these are just some of topics discussed on Young Female Entrepreneurs, an online platform for professional businesswomen. Catering to women in their 20s and 30s who are just starting their entrepreneurial career, the website is a hub for interaction where rookies huddle cheek by jowl with seasoned experts.
YFE offers female entrepreneurs a chance to meet over #YFE Twitter chats held every two weeks, as well as an opportunity to join the online Bootstrap Book Club - a partnership with Kickstart Kitchen. The site even hosts a weekly live stream show that features interesting guests in the field and an interactive chat for users.
The YFE online world is incredibly rich, yet in select cities it is extended offline;YFE meetups - face-to-face get togethers - are held in LA, New York City and Boston.
November is set to be a busy time for YFE: November 15 will see their first online conference,#YFEcon, which will be chock full of peer-to-peer mentorship through panels, interviews and lectures. Stay tuned for Blog it! Week, November 5-9: each day will be dedicated to a specific topic, which users will write about and post to the YFE Facebook page. [Source: Young Female Entrepreneurs]
