7 of the Most Purrfect Portraits from Felines of New York

One photographer is taking to the streets of New York to capture the city’s ordinary inhabitants as they go about their daily life, interviewing them about their past, their aspirations - and their favorite cat treat. Felines of New York (or FONY) is a spoof of the wildly popular blog, Humans of New York (or HONY), which features beautiful portraits of New Yorkers accompanied by quotes or interviews. Though the HONY blog is considered an international phenomenon with over 15 million Facebook followers, comedian Jim Tews felt that the blog was excluding a significant part of the New York population – cats. So, in honor of National Cat Day on October 29, 2015, let’s celebrate our furry, feline friends with seven of our favorite FONY photos.
