The Good Cards Game will kickstart a train of good deeds that will encompass the entire world. (Good Cards)

Good Cards is a real life game that allows communities of dreamers to spread happiness in real life. Players receive a physical Good Card which they scan in the companion app and receive a mission of doing a good deed for somebody else, secretly and anonymously. The next person receives the card, through a good deed and also receive a mission to pay it forwards. As the cards travel from hand to hand, everybody in the line is able to track it and read all the kindness stories happening around the world with the exact card you passed. Cards have already traveled from the USA to 17 countries: Colombia, Belgium, Bolivia, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, México, Chile, Costa Rica, Portugal, Poland, Jordan, Ukraine, Australia, Switzerland, UK, Canada, Bali, and Malaysia.

Corey Harnish from Betterworld International, the team behind Good Cards, spoke with Goodnet for this week’s 10 Good Questions to give an insight on what motivates and drives his team.

1. WHAT IS YOUR ORGANIZATION’S MISSION?

The mission of Good Cards game is to make this world better and create a global impact where society will feel the positive changes.

2. WHAT MAKES YOU GUYS DIFFERENT FROM THE REST?

There are not many organizations that use technology to make this world better. We are one of the leaders and pioneers in this quest to harness the power of technology to make this world better. The fact that we engage people to create positive changes in society through a gamified, fun approach is very unique.

3. WHAT THREE WORDS DESCRIBE YOUR ORGANIZATION?

Innovation, Courage and Love-Happiness

4. WHAT INSPIRES YOU?

The ability to shape this world, and Leonardo DiCaprio are both a big inspirations to the Good Cards game because he really delivers on the belief to do good. Also the fact that there are many points of view regarding spirituality, but regardless of your faith you cannot lose if you strive to create a better experience in life for others. Technology is also very inspirational to me as it gives entrepreneurs the opportunity to create innovative solutions for solving current challenges, and even sometimes make the impossible possible.

5. WHO'S YOUR FAVORITE GOOD DOER FIGURE?

Mother Theresa, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela, as well as many other world leaders like these, are who I consider to be my favorite. The world needs people like them to exist to always mobilize others for good. Yet the person who is of particular, and special, interest to me is Leonardo DiCaprio. I am making it my life mission to work with Leonardo DiCaprio. The reason he interests me so much is because I really like what he is doing in, and for this world. Leonardo DiCaprio understands how to make this world better.

6. WHAT IS THE BEST PART ABOUT YOUR JOB?

Making the vision a reality. Bringing the future to the present.  Honestly, as a CEO you have many roles but if you can bring teams together and specifically designers, that can show you what a future idea, concept, or product will look like, then you can really bring your vision to life. Another favorite part of my job is meeting people. Networking is a central part of my job and I attract extraordinary people that are amazing. Creating a positive and fun, really fun team culture is also my favorite. We have Fun Fridays, and we’ve also created success songs before. The idea of a fun team culture is my initiative, and sometimes can be difficult to execute, but if you select the right team members the team culture will consistently become more innovative and positive. Creating motivation through gamification inside of the organization is super exciting and sometimes hard to execute but creates super results and happiness for everyone.

7. HOW DO YOU MEASURE SUCCESS WITHIN YOUR ORGANIZATION?

I measure success through the amount of good deeds that are happens with The Good Cards game. Our first goal is to achieve 1 million good deeds. This means our product is designed to inspire 1 million people to do good deeds in a fun and exciting way. I also measure success by sustainability, meaning can we create a product that people enjoy and where it sustains their engagement, yet also generates enough income to take care of the needs of the organization, now that would be a big success.

8. FACEBOOK OR TWITTER?

We do a little bit of Facebook as well as Twitter, and you can also find us on Instagram.

9. WHAT DO YOU WANT GOODNET USERS TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR ORGANIZATION?

Our plans are so big that we really want to make a movement and we are committed to this as we believe we are going to drive change and become a leader. You have to be self-aware of your life and how you impact society. As an organization, we believe that we will be a market leader in this movement and deliver amazing results, globally. Consider the fact that we didn’t just build a game; we are creating a trend, a movement for social causes, and a social impact where inspires millions of people are inspired to have trust in humanity. Also once the trend of doing good has gained significant traction, we will invite celebrities and politicians to become a part of this movement.

10. HOW CAN PEOPLE GET INVOLVED?

People can get involved by participating in our campaign which begins June 15th 2017. This campaign will be a hands on experience with The Good Cards game and the different wearables that activate missions. This is a one of a kind game that is happening in real life.
