So you dropped the evening bath from your daily routine once you learned that it was using double as much water as a five-minute shower - but did you know that the majority of household water wastage leaks out of the shower? Meet Eva, the revolutionary smart shower that can cut your water usage by half.
Currently available for pre-order via IndieGogo InDemand, the small attachment optimizes your shower experience with its unique smartphone app and sensor system. First, Eva shuts off the shower when your desired temperature is reached before you get into the shower - so there’s no need to feel guilty if you get sidetracked waiting for the water to heat up. When you step in, a tap of the button starts your shower at the perfect temperature. Once you’re in the shower, the sensor system adjusts the water flow according to your activity. For example when you’re standing directly under the showerhead - wetting your hair or washing off soap - the flow will be at 100%. And when you step away - to lather up, scrub or shave - Eva will reduce the flow, so you save water while still staying nice and warm.
Eva is controlled with a smartphone app - preferably once you’re out of the shower! - and allows you to set goals for how long you want to shower, track water usage, habits and savings, as well as find out more about water conservation. With the average price of water rising, the creators of this smart shower say that Eva will pay for itself within a year of use - making it a true investment for both individual households, and the planet.
