Sometimes all it takes is a small push to get ahead in life. No one understands this better than Accion - a nonprofit organization providing people living in poverty with the financial tools they need to improve their situation. Accion does this by offering services such as microloans, sometimes as small as $100, to entrepreneurs in developing countries as a way of helping them work their way up the economic ladder with a sense of purpose. By introducing affordable financial options in places where they are hard to come by, Accion is able to empower people to provide a steady income for themselves and even follow their dreams.
With help from a growing network of microfinance partner institutions, Accion also provides opportunities for savings plans, microinsurance and home improvement loans.
Whether it's starting a small business or just getting out of debt, Accion is making financial services inclusive to all and as a result, changing people's lives for the better.
