100 People Foundation

The 100 People Foundation helps students to better understand the complex issues facing our planet and the resources we share. By framing the global population as 100 people, our media makes education more engaging and effective, and improves students' abilities to remember and relate to what they learn.

826 National

826 National is a nonprofit organization that provides strategic leadership, administration, and other resources to ensure the success of its network of eight writing and tutoring centers. 826 centers offer a variety of inventive programs that provide under-resourced students, ages 6-18, with opportunities to explore their creativity and improve their writing skills. We also aim to help teachers get their classes excited about writing. Our mission is based on the understanding that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention, and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.

Academic Earth

Academic Earth believes that everyone has the right to a world-class education. Recognizing the existing barriers in academia, we continue our efforts to curate an unparalleled collection of free online courses from the world’s top universities. Moving forward, we honor the egalitarian spirit of Academic Earth’s founders as we develop a platform to facilitate the global sharing of ideas, both inside and outside the classroom.

Founded in 2003, Amistad Institute is an organization located in Heredia, San Jose downtown, and Jaco Beach, Costa Rica. The Amistad Spanish school offers language classes, as well as exchange and volunteer programs all around the country from a staff that has near 20 years experience in the language immersion and volunteer industries. 

Amped for Education

Amped for Education was founded in 2009 with the goal of expanding education in developing countries. We began our work in Nicaragua with the construction of a high school in 2012, and we have continued to support the school's students and their community. Our goal is to fund, construct and open another larger learning center next year that will be able to assist a larger amount of high school students. To support our work in Nicaragua, we lead groups of volunteers to the country and provide a memorable experience working on community projects and exploring the country.

Asian University for Women

The Asian University for Women is the preeminent liberal arts university for women in South Asia. With an emphasis on social justice and empowerment, AUW provides higher education to those who would otherwise not have the access.  Its students are competitively selected for admittance and for scholarship.  AUW students are among the best in their classes and are willing and able to become change-makers in their lives after university.

Barefoot College

Barefoot College is a non-governmental organization that has been providing basic services and solutions to problems in rural communities for more than 40 years, with the objective of making them self-sufficient and sustainable. These ‘Barefoot solutions’ can be broadly categorized into the delivery of Solar Electrification, Clean Water, Education, Livelihood Development, and Activism. With a geographic focus on the Least Developed Countries (LDCs), we believe strongly in Empowering Women as agents of sustainable change.
