Every once in a while, a star appears in the sphere of good doing, shedding a bright light of smart innovation. Socialvest is one such bright shining star.
Socialvest is an online shopping mall that enables shoppers to save a percentage of each purchase and donate it to a cause that pulls at their heartstrings. Having partnered with hundreds of retailers in a variety of categories - from fashion and cosmetics to electronics and green living - socialvest is geared to all needs. Partner retailers include popular American chains, such as J. Crew, Sephora and the Gap - to make sure that consumers don't have to change their ways to be able to give to charity.
Socialvesters can continue to shop their favorite stores, and the retail partners will rebate between 0.5 to 15 percent of the purchase account to the customer's personal giving account. The customer can then donate the funds online to any nonprofit in the US.
Socialvest, available online and as an iPhone app, gives a new meaning to retail therapy. [Source: Socialvest]
