In an era of over consumption, an environment that cuts down on shopping and its entailed waste is a breath of fresh air. Yerdle is one such environment.
The recently launched platform - available online and as an iPhone app - is a marketplace for sharing stuff, for good or as a loan, among friends. Yerdle is built on Facebook's social graph, so your Yerdle community is based on your Facebook network - and is easy to navigate and use: users simply post items that they're interested in giving away or lending, while others can search for items they need. Goodies include everything from electronics to films, music and books.
On Yerdle, everything is given away or lent for free. Money's never exchanged - only good spirit. [Source: Yerdle]
