An innovative new taxi is doing the rounds in London, and it’s helping to save two things at once - the environment and passengers’ cash. The New Metrocab is the first range extended electric taxi in the world to be licensed in a city, operating at a discounted price and minimal ongoing cost to the environment.

As well as sporting state-of-the-art green technology which gives the vehicle enough juice to make trip after trip without long stops to recharge, the cab is a sweet ride. It’s fitted with touch screen color displays, a USB charging socket, mood lighting and a digital infotainment system - and even a panoramic glass roof to take in the sights. It’s no surprise that London Mayor Boris Jones called the cab, “The Rolls-Royce of taxis that can do 100mpg.”
The New Metrocab joins a fleet of other electric vehicles making their way into the car market globally, providing alternative energy solutions to serve individuals, communities and Mother Earth.
