According to scientists, happiness is a combination of how satisfied you are with your life overall, and how good you feel on a day-to-day basis. While of course the breakdown varies person to person, only 10% of your happiness is determined by your life circumstance - because you can get used to almost anything over time. Rather, 40% of your happiness is controlled by your thoughts, actions and behaviors, and a whopping 50% is determined by your genes.
