Ted

TED is a nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out in 1984 as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences -- the TED Conference and TEDGlobal -- TED includes the award-winning TED Talks video site, the Open Translation Project and TED Conversations, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize.
 

General Assembly

We’ve created a multi-faceted campus to serve the needs of high-potential entrepreneurs and advance the startup ecosystem in New York. Our community not only has a place in which to collaborate, but also take advantage of a new kind of learning-by-doing. Through our curriculum, entrepreneurs will receive a pragmatic and multi-disciplinary education at the intersection of technology, design, and entrepreneurship.

Velopresso

Velopresso is a celebratory fusion of human power, sensory pleasures and technology
-- old tech with hi-tech, bicycles and coffee, their engineering and aesthetics. The result is an innovative pedal-powered mobile coffee-making machine for off-grid selling of quality espresso and its derivatives with a compact footprint and near silent ultra-low carbon human-powered operation -- fine coffee, no electricity, no motors, no noise.

Wild Gift

What do social entrepreneurs need to create positive change? Wild Gift combines astute business mentoring with a collective wilderness experience that aligns values, develops leadership skills, and creates bonds with other change-makers.

Good for Nothing

Good for Nothing is a community of thinkers, do-ers, makers and tinkerers applying their skills and energy to accelerating the work of cause led innovators and change makers; it's about diverse groups of people collaborating together, working in new, faster, fun and better ways by supporting ideas and people that are leading the way to what a flourishing 21st century society might look like.

Youth Challenge International (YCI)

Youth Challenge International is a leading global youth development organization that promotes youth innovation to drive positive change. YCI engages youth in creating solutions to the challenges they face, incorporating youth development, volunteerism, partnership, and equity into all that we do. YCI's volunteer projects are currently located in Tanzania, Ghana, Guyana, Costa Rica and Guatemala

EQWIP HUBs

EQWIP HUBs is a new way of approaching long-term sustainable development. It’s a network of 17 youth innovation spaces called ‘EQWIP HUBs,’ where youth – especially women – come together to develop market-relevant skills, build networks, learn from mentors, and access technology. Located in Bolivia, Ghana, Indonesia, Peru, Senegal and Tanzania, they are places where the passions and determination of young people are transformed into the confidence and abilities that will allow them to access employment or entrepreneurship and take control of their own futures.

Yazamiyot

Yazamiyot was started with one goal in mind – to create an environment where Israeli women entrepreneurs can meet, network, share ideas and help each other out. Today, Yazamiyot has over 1000 members, has hosted dozens of exclusive events and has been the medium for many successful deals, partnerships and negotiations.

The Adventure Project

The Adventure Project is a non-profit organization established to increase investments in positive social enterprises around the world. Founded in 2010 by Becky Straw & Jody Landers, who met while traveling through Liberia, West Africa. They have joined forces to raise awareness and funds to support the world’s most-effective social ventures.

Games for Change

Founded in 2004, Games for Change facilitates the creation and distribution of social impact games that serve as critical tools in humanitarian and educational efforts. Unlike the commercial gaming industry, we aim to leverage entertainment and engagement for social good. To further grow the field, Games for Change convenes multiple stakeholders, highlights best practices, incubates games, and helps create and direct investment into new projects.

Startup Weekends are 54-hour events where developers, designers, marketers, product managers and startup enthusiasts come together to share ideas, form teams, build products, and launch startups!
