There is no better snack than making and eating your own DIY seed crackers. They are easy to assemble, nutritious, and do not require a special gadget such as a dehydrator. Your family will love this healthy food so much, you may just have to stash them away!

Ensure you have a large supply of these ingredients in your pantry: sesame, sunflower, hemp, pumpkin, chia, and flax seeds. If you are using flax seeds in a recipe, buy them whole and if you must grind them, use them right away.

Vegan seed crackers

This recipe from One Green Planet combines sunflower, sesame, pumpkin, chia, and flax seeds with rolled oats and oat flour. They are vegan and contain calcium, fiber, fatty acids, and protein

They are easy to make but the dough will be sticky from the chia seeds, so when rolling it out onto parchment paper, use a second piece of parchment paper on top to help flatten them until thin. Bake until crisp.

Multi-seed homemade crackers

This recipe from Cotter Crunch is gluten-free, paleo, vegan, low in carbs, and offers the benefit of magnesium. You can season them with dried herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder. To give it a vegan cheesy twist, add nutritional yeast.
