Afia is the brainchild of Megan Sebold who became enamored of the bright textiles of Ghana when she was studying abroad in the West African country. Sebold, an international relations and economics graduate with a passion for fashion, was inspired to create fashionable women’s wear by using local fabrics and working with Ghanaian sewing cooperatives that pay fair wages. This win-win relationship has since developed into a sustainable clothing line that combines style with meaning, available online and in various boutiques
