The Brave Collection is founder Jessica Hendricks' hands-on approach to fighting human trafficking.
According to the United Nations International Labour Organization, more than 12 million people are forced into modern day slavery. Human trafficking exists all over the world, but Cambodia ranks especially high - in number and extremity.
Disturbed by this grim reality, and driven into action after meeting survivors of sexual trafficking in Cambodia, Hendricks founded her social enterprise whose product is a collection of bracelets. The bracelets are in the shape of the word “Klahan”, which means "brave" in Cambodian, and they are created by Cambodian metalsmiths alongside US-based designers. The collection is available for purchase online. [Source: The Brave Collection]
