What do Garfield, Snoopy and Popeye have in common? Aside from being lovable animated figures, these children's favorites, along with a host of other popular cartoon characters, "shaved" their heads to honor Cancer Awareness Month in Brazil.
The Bald Cartoons campaign is a collection of well-known cartoons featuring the main characters without hair in a bid to show that children with cancer should be treated just like everyone else.
This touching clip shows what happens when kids at Brazilian children's cancer hospital GRAACC saw some of their favorite cartoon heroes with a little less hair than usual. As it turns out, the campaign took Brazil by storm - even the country's president endorsed it with words of encouragement for ill children, who are, no doubt - the bravest of kids.
