You've heard the word mindfulness being thrown around, but do you know what it means? Mindfulness is the ability to know what's happening in your head at any given moment without getting carried away by it. Just ask the mindful mouse narrated by Dan Harris in this super cute video from Happify.

Talking to his buddy the hot-headed hedgehog, the mouse explains how a little bit of mindfulness can create a buffer between emotions and reactions. So rather than acting on anger straight away, for example, mindful people learn to respond wisely to the stimulus in their lives.

"And that, my friends, is a superpower," the mouse asserts. He's quick to point out - mindfulness is not going to turn your life into a non-stop parade of unicorns and rainbows. But it is a superpower. And to get it, he says, you just need to take a few minutes a day to meditate. Definitely worth a go!
