A Tongue-In-Cheek Clip about Modern Day Giving [VIDEO] | Will shoes save the world? [VIDEO]

What will help save the world? Shoes?
The tongue-in-cheek animated clip from the Establishment for the Greater Good (EGG) takes a jab at modern day giving habits with this highly entertaining musical. The video opens with negative news about the health and well-being of children around the world. The snazzy protagonist in flashy red heels launches into a song and dance about how her old donated shoes will bring relief and respite to children in need. The clip culminates with powerful facts about how little it costs to ensure the health of children, and ends with the message Give Better.
The provocative video aims to highlight how, in certain situations, giving money is more effective to enact change and directly improve people’s lives.  And while donating old items is a good deed, in disaster situations, it takes a lot of effort and energy to sift through material donations, whereas money provides more flexibility when time is of the essence.
EGG is a summer internship/training program sponsored by brand agency Psyop. It is comprised of a small group of exemplary students from all over the world who come together to create visual experiences that highlight a social cause. EGG is challenging perceptions and similar to this UNICEF ad, has much more in store.
