Moving forward, we honor the egalitarian spirit of Academic Earth’s founders as we develop a platform to facilitate the global sharing of ideas, both inside and outside the classroom.

Globethics.net is a worldwide ethics network that provides an electronic platform for ethical reflection and action.The aim of Globethics.net is to ensure that people in all regions of the world are empowered to reflect and act on ethical issues. Globethics.net has developed its online libraries with nearly 1.5 million full-text documents (articles, journals, books, reference works, etc.) all available for free. The founding conviction of Globethics.net was that more equal access to knowledge resources in the field of applied ethics will enable persons and institutions from developing and transition economies to become more visible and audible in the global discourse on ethics. 

Silent Heroes

Silent Heroes is a nonprofit organization committed to enhancing both animal and human health in Africa and protecting and conserving its wildlife and endangered species. We acquire and distribute crucial supplies such as medicines to veterinarians and conservationists in Africa, provide equipment and training to park rangers and conservationists working in the continent’s parks and preserves, and conduct research and educate others on the prevention of disease transmission between domestic animals, wildlife and humans. 

Build Africa

Build Africa currently supports 100,000 people in rural Kenya and Uganda through both education and community enterprise programmes. By improving teacher training and school resources, we ensure that children receive the quality education they need for their long-term development. At the same time we support savings and loans groups, entrepreneurial skills training and other initiatives to help families secure sustainable, productive livelihoods.

feedONE

feedONE is an initiative of Convoy of Hope and is aimed at combating hunger across the globe. Based on Mother Theresa’s quote “If you can’t feed 100 people then just feed one,” feedONE works to provide nutritious food, clean water, and education to communities in need.

Education for the Children

EFTC's mission is to break the cycle of poverty through education and empowerment. We work in partnership with disadvantaged families, children and young adults in Guatemala, Central America to ensure they develop the tools they need to break free from the cycle of poverty. We have a school in Jocotenango, Guatemala: an urban area where extreme poverty, gang crime, domestic violence and alcoholism are everyday realities. Food, healthcare, counselling and career guidance at the school remove obstacles to education and enable these students to realise their potential.

AHA!

AHA! (Attitude.Harmony.Achievement) is an educational program promoting social emotional learning, peace building, and joy through creative expression. AHA! is committed to transforming the world by empowering teens to create peaceful and connected communities. 

Code Club

Code Club is a not-for-profit that believes all children should have the opportunity to learn to code, no matter who they are or where they come from. To do this, Code Club supports a network of volunteer-led, after-school coding clubs, which aim to inspire children aged 9-11 to build and share their ideas, learning along the way. Code Club currently has over 1000 clubs in over 75 countries, and our club projects have been translated in 15 languages.

Library For All

Library For All is a nonprofit that exists to unlock knowledge to those without access to books in developing countries, at a much lower cost than building physical libraries. Our Library platform delivers ebooks to low-cost devices such as tablets, mobile phones, and PCs, and is accessible in low-bandwidth environments via mobile phone networks. The Library provides access to educational content that is culturally relevant and available in local and international languages. Library For All aims to strengthen the educational ecosystem across the developing world, thus improving global literacy and global development initiatives.

BookMentors is a nonprofit that connects teachers and students who need books with donors who want to give books. BookMentors is also a community of readers, writers, teachers, and publishers interested in sharing information about children's and young adult literature.
