In this week’s 10 Good Questions, GOOD Travel’s co-founder and director of operations Eliza Raymond talks to Goodnet about revolutionizing the travel industry. Along with her three co-founders scattered around the world, Raymond works tirelessly to connect with tourism businesses across the world that are doing good for their communities, the environment and local economies.
1. What is your organization’s mission?
To inspire travelers and tourism businesses to transform the travel industry into a force for GOOD.
2. What makes you guys different from the rest?
We are founded by four women from Peru, South Africa, USA and New Zealand. We have travelled to over 100 countries between us so we have unique insider knowledge of all the inspiring little tourism businesses off the beaten track doing GOOD for their communities, environment and economy. We are all utterly passionate about projects that uplift communities and about travel as a way to educate and unite people.

4. What three words describe your organization?
Laughter. Energetic. Caring.
5. What inspires you?
Discovering new tourism businesses doing GOOD for their community, environment and economy inspires me and makes me so excited!
6. What is the best part about your job?
Being able to make a difference through the two things I love most - travel and people!
7. Does your team eat lunch together?
We are all in different countries, but we often have team breakfast/lunch/dinners over Skype!

9. What do you want Goodnet users to know about your organization?
We want Goodnet users to know that by supporting us, you are supporting organizations globally that are making a difference. We want you to know the tourism businesses we support care about the environment, their community and their local economy, as do we! We want you to know, that our tours are super fun and super beneficial, and all round GOOD!
