On July 29, 1958 the National Aeronautics and Space Administration - otherwise known as NASA - was created. For 55 years NASA has been exploring the outer limits of space, discovering what is beyond earth and performing engineering feats like sending people to the moon, Mars and back.  In honor of NASA’s awe-inspiring scientific achievements and a curiosity for the intergalactic, this selection of wonderful clips explores the universe and beyond.

1. A TOY TRAIN IN SPACE
Stanley the train is four-year-old Nate’s favorite toy. Nate’s innovative father came up with an idea to send Stanley to space, using a weather balloon equipped with an HD camera and an old cell phone with GPS.  Follow Stanley on his journey to the stratosphere in this adorable video.
