Add half a cup of steel-cut oats, half a cup of milk or plant-based milk, maple syrup, honey or mashed banana to sweeten, chia or ground flax to give it a pudding-like texture, plus yogurt for extra creaminess. Mocha overnight oats

Chocolate lovers unite! This delicious recipe is from Midweek Desserts. The night before, combine oats with brewed coffee, cacao powder, maple syrup, chia seeds, cacao nibs, and almond milk. The cacao nibs offer a chocolate flavor plus they are full of antioxidants, while coffee adds that mocha taste and a bit of zing to keep you going.  

Peanut butter and banana overnight oats

This wholesome recipe from Food Faith Fitness has just four ingredients and will be a hit with kids too. Combine the oats with powdered peanut butter, almond milk, and mashed banana. Top with sliced banana, drizzle with peanut butter, then devour!

Raspberry coconut overnight oats

This recipe from Clean Food Crush is a great option for summer when berries are sold farm fresh by the quart! This may taste like a dessert and is filled with nutrients. Prepare the basic oats recipe and add coconut milk instead of almond milk, plus crushed raspberries.  Combine with unsweetened shredded coconut, vanilla and lemon juice, then let steep overnight.
