Books are simply the best and there is nothing better than curling up with a riveting read that will transport you to another dimension. Please enjoy this selection of five videos that celebrate the written word in its oldest form.

1. A WORLD RECORD STARRING BOOKS
What do you get when you combine 2,131 books, 27 volunteers and 112 slices of pizza? Answer: the world record for the longest book domino chain. Spearheaded by the Seattle Public Library, check out this amazing domino chain that spans the whole library!

2. THE MAGICALLY DISAPPEARING BOOK
Here’s a new one: a book printed with ink that disappears and fades after two months. The brainchild of Eterna Cadencia, an Argentinean publishing house and bookshop, The Book that Can't Wait aims to encourage folks to read books quickly and not let them languish on the shelf – providing a platform for writers and first-time authors to gain an audience and have a chance at a second book.

3. THE ART BEHIND CREATING A BOOK
Technology has changed the way books are read and produced. This charming video shows the delicate construction of a book using traditional printing methods.
