Lingerie - lace and frills, beauty and feminity. Right? Well, for the inspiring women over at Naja lingerie goes way beyond that; this is underwear with a purpose.
At Naja, each garment has an inspirational quote printed on it - motivational phrases such as "be your own kind of beautiful" and simply, "smile."
By partnering with the Golondrinas Foundation and the in-house Underwear for Hope program, Naja is truly committed to women. The company helps train single mothers in marketable skills, and then employs them so that in turn they can help themselves and their children.
The company's extensive line of underwear uses details usually found on luxury brands – such as memory foam cups and good quality cotton – and at $45 for a bra, prices are fair compared to designer brands.
The spark of inspiration for the company came during founder Catalina Girald's backpacking trip across the globe. After 18-months of soul-searching, she came back to the US with the aim of empowering women through lingerie and creating a culture where women help each other.
