“When you put good will out there it’s amazing what can be accomplished.”
These inspiring words were said by the late actor Paul Walker who was also the founder of Reach Out WorldWide (ROWW), a nonprofit rapid response team to natural disasters. Walker was inspired to make a difference after working as part of a relief team in 2010 in Haiti after the devastating earthquakes. Identifying a need for more skilled personnel and resources in post-disaster situations, Walker mobilized friends to create a network of volunteer first-responder professionals that lend their expert knowledge to better mobilize organized efforts in times of crisis. The lifesaving organization works all over the world, coming to the aid of countries in need of rescue and recovery after major natural disasters or humanitarian crises.
After Walker’s unexpected recent passing, his legacy of good doing and generosity continues as ROWW works to bring first aid and hope in extreme situations.
