Can You Really Depend on the Kindness of Strangers? [VIDEO] | Buzzfeed set out to answer that question with a social experiment in the streets of Los Angeles

The character Blanche Dubois from the play Streetcar Named Desire famously uttered the line, "I have always depended on the kindness of strangers,” but does that ring true today?
Buzzfeed put random folks to the test on the streets of Los Angeles as they approached strangers with a series of faux situations in which they asked for help.
The first question the Buzzfeed correspondents asked unsuspecting passersby is if they could use their telephone to make a call. Their back story was that they got on the wrong bus stop and needed a friend to pick them up.
The results were resoundingly positive, with 30 people agreeing to help and a meager two people refusing to aid a stranger in need. Even more uplifting was that the strangers went above and beyond just lending their telephone - whether it was giving the stranded Buzzfeed correspondents money to get on the bus or even offering them a ride home, kindness and giving was at an all time high as these generous individuals went the extra mile.

Blanche Dubois would surely be in luck, but what would you do in this situation? Please share in the comments section below.
