One Young World

http://www.oneyoungworld.com

One Young World  is a charity that gathers together the brightest young people (aged 18 - 30) from around the world, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change. At the annual One Young World Summit, young leaders debate, formulate and share innovative solutions for the most pressing issues the world faces. At the 2013 Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa, 1,250 young people from 190 countries were joined by a prestigious line-up of One Young World Counsellors including: Kofi Annan, Sir Richard Branson, Arianna Huffington, Sir Bob Geldof and Professor Muhammad Yunus. After attending a Summit, delegates join the network of One Young World Ambassadors working the world over to effect positive change. They do this by founding their own initiatives or lending the power of the One Young World network to those already in existence. The next One Young World Summit takes place in Dublin, Ireland from 15-19 October 2014.

Patriot Threads was founded by a 17 year-old student named Brady Fernandes. Raised in the South, Brady saw a need in the marketplace for high-quality classic Southern style clothing with a patriotic flair. It was really very simple: he wanted to take all the modern design elements of today’s youthful trends and tie these in with his love of Country, Southern tradition and an outgoing lifestyle to create an iconic brand that you would be proud to wear. This became the brand Patriot Threads. Brady also has a passion for helping others and was inspired to donate a portion of all sales to charities that support wounded veterans who have sacrificed so much when serving our country.

Uniform Project

http://www.theuniformproject.com

Uniform Project™ started in 2009 when a young woman realized she was drowning in the uninspired doldrums of an advertising career. Creatively and ethically drained by the corporate world, she came up with an unusual creative challenge; to wear the same dress for an entire year–but, and this is where the real challenge came in, she’d have to make it look unique every single day. She also vowed to make the challenge more meaningful by turning it into a fundraiser to send less fortunate kids to school.
