From movies like Robocop to Wall-E, robots fascinate kids and adults alike. The Brooklyn Robot Foundry harnesses this energy by providing a place for kids to design and create robots of their own. The brainchild of Jenny Young and Dave VanEsselstyn, this creative hotspot also hosts classes, birthday parties and even a cool retail store.
Promoting the notion of DIT –Do It Together – the community centered establishment focuses on learning experiences that combine fun, design, building and even a background on the basics of mechanical engineering.
Kid who take part not only get their very own robots, but are also armed with the conviction that there is an inventor in each and everyone one of them. [Source: Brooklyn Robot Foundry]
