Hope Phones

http://hopephones.org

We created the Hope Phones campaign in 2009 as an innovative way to fund the global efforts of Medic Mobile, our parent organization that advances healthcare in 11 countries with mobile technology. Half a million cell phones are discarded in the United States every day and pollute the environment with tons of plastic and persistent toxins like lead, nickel, beryllium, and cadmium. Cell phone recycling through Hope Phones reduces hazardous waste in our communities responsibly, while providing a real public health benefit abroad.
If Hope Phones can recycle just 1% of disposed phones each year, we can outfit 1 million health workers, improving the lives of 50 million people.

StartSomeGood

StartSomeGood empowers people from around the world to become social innovators. By connecting social entrepreneurs with the financial and intellectual capital they need to transform an idea for improving the world into a reality, together we can turn ideas into action and impact.
We’ve taken the crowdfunding model -- which is growing in popularity world-wide -- and customized it to reflect the unique needs of social entrepreneurs.

The non-profit collects and donates these undergarments to less fortunate homeless individuals at area hospitals, shelters and other transitional centers. It has been a whirlwind of activity since the inception and we look forward to the challenges ahead of making an impact on this problem that affects hundreds of thousands of individuals, including many United States Veterans (many whom have served in the recent conflicts in Iraq and Afhanistan) on a daily basis.

Coffee Stories

Coffee Stories was created to spread coffee kindness and create community, to offer a medium for our society to empathize with each other over common pieces -- coffee and stories. We're striving to make ordering a 'coffee stories' coffee' as ubiquitous and quotidian as ordering a coffee for yourself; to leave the coffee shop kinder, more hospitable than we found it, and to listen attentively to what others think, feel, and are moved by.
