It’s a privilege to be here in this bubble at the Paralympic Games, and to finish with a gold medal — and to be able to scream the anthem from deep inside me is a moment I’ll never forget in my life,” Samuel told the Times of Israel, adding that when she crossed the finish line, she burst into tears, “due to everything together, the excitement, and the news of the morning. I wasn’t even sure I’d be able to sing the anthem… my heart is with everyone. I hope everyone comes home.”
