The Evolution of Good Deeds Day

From a local project to a global movement: Good Deeds Day in numbers

Good Deeds Day – a worldwide event in which on one single day, hundreds of thousands of people from all over the world perform good deeds – reached new peaks in its 2015 edition.

One of the largest global days of volunteering and service, Good Deeds Day – originally launched in Israel back in 2007, and has since expanded far and wide, spanning 58 countries on March 24 – stands out with its engaging, simple idea: everyone can do something good, be it large or small, to positively impact the world.
Some 1 million people in 58 countries participated in Good Deed Day 2015, giving together more than 3 million hours of volunteering – making Good Deeds Day the largest and most far-reaching global day of good.

“Good Deeds Day, initiated nine years ago, is a day that does good deep in your heart,” says businesswoman and philantrhopist Shari Arison, initiator of Good Deeds Day. “It is a day that connects between people of all ages, cultures and religions.”  Check out the following graph that demonstrates the growth of Good Deeds Day:

Mark your calendars for the 10th anniversary of Good Deeds Day – coming up on April 10, 2016.
