New Documentary Series Spotlights Entrepreneurs Creating Lasting Change
Stories have the power to open people’s eyes to challenges they may not have encountered. Documentary filmmaking can make a difference by introducing viewers to people who are working on finding solutions while telling stories of hope.
A new documentary series called “How To Change The World” shows the power of storytelling by shining a light on entrepreneurs who are reimagining what business can accomplish through determination and perseverance, according to a press release. The series highlights how entrepreneurship can ignite positive transformation when success is measured by what a business gives back, rather than by personal gain alone.
A New Kind of Founder
Popular images of entrepreneurship may include fast growth, selling for a high price, and speedy exits. How To Change The World introduces entrepreneurs who define success by how their businesses give back. Premiering September 10, the ten-episode documentary series follows social entrepreneurs addressing major problems today through innovation and community-driven solutions.
World Within founder and CEO Rostam Zafari and co-founder Dylan Mulick co-created the series, which is produced by World Within Studios and Religion of Sports. Zafari, Mulick, Mark Cuban, Geralyn Dreyfous, Gotham Chopra, and Victor Buhler serve as executive producers, according to a statement given to Goodnet. It follows founders using business to create positive change in communities. “I don’t back a project unless the people behind it are doing the work, not just talking about it,” says Cuban.
Ideas That May Change the World
The episodes show how social entrepreneurship can take many forms. The September 10, 2026 premiere follows Coral Vita and its work to protect coral ecosystems. Later episodes highlight the company KOTN, which works directly with cotton-farming communities in Egypt’s Nile Delta, and Lufa Farms, whose founder Mohamed Hage is exploring how cities can grow more of their own food.
Other stories take viewers into efforts to reduce gun violence and create peace in Chicago, expand access to justice in the legal system, explore an emerging approach to ocean farming, and challenge America’s food system. The season wraps up on November 12 with Ginjan. The series finale tells a story of resilience in which two brothers from Guinea build a business in the US and face setbacks.
Amid challenges, the series emphasizes how persistence may lead to meaningful change. How To Change The World will stream for free on World Within Studios’ YouTube channel, with episodes released weekly on Thursdays.
