Breath of Fire - Kapalabhati Pranayama

The breath of fire breathing technique, also known as Kapalabhat, generates internal heat and energizes the body, according to Healthline. This practice can help to increase circulation, improve lung capacity, as well as generate a sense of warmth and vitality. It’s the perfect pose to begin any yoga practice inspired by fire.

Enter the pose in a comfortable seated position with your spine tall. Place your hands on your lower abdomen, and take a few deep breaths to ground yourself. Exhale forcefully through your nose, contracting your abdominal muscles to expel the breath in short bursts. As you release the breath, imagine you are stoking a vibrant flame within you. Follow each exhalation with a passive inhalation, allowing your breath to flow naturally. Repeat this cycle for ten rounds, gradually increasing the speed and intensity as you become more comfortable.
